How do you write an ebook? From page 1 to 50
You write an eBook almost always with profit in mind. For one, traditional eBooks on specific niche markets often sell for the price of a hardcover, 500 page book, and are much easier to write. It doesn’t always mean they will sell that well. This guide shows you the second creative business step: writing the Ebook!
Outlines
It is very wise to create some kind of outline and structure for your eBook. If you are selling business eBooks, it’s mandatory. You can’t just sit down one day and start writing short essays. That works for some, but in the business field you need to break down exactly what you are going to say. If you want it to be profitable, follow the rules of core structure.
Structure
You can write an eBook in a month if you want! Some writers do it even faster, writing 10-20 page reports in days and selling them for small prices. The secret is experience, and how you apply it to the writing. Novels need themes, eBooks need proof. In the beginning the structure of your book should have the reader in mind. How to make money online … how to resell cars … how to save money on travel vacations. Ask a question a reader has, and then answer it. Follow the rules of structure and you can create as many profitable eBooks as you want.
EBooks generally have a HOW TO emphasis, which makes it easy to bring experience to the book, and also thinking up questions readers may have. “Why is the stock market falling?” And so on.
Length?
Length depends on you, but more importantly on the buyer. Some readers have no time for tons of personal examples or examples from others with experience. They want a simple equation to building profits, for example, or starting a new business career. Typically, eBooks rarely push 50 pages. Some go as high as 100, while others go below 10.
Format?
This too depends on certain factors. One safe way many epublishers sell eBooks is by converting a file, say a MS Word file, into an Adobe Reader file. This is the best way to do it if you plan on selling the eBook yourself. Some epublishers require Adobe, while others have their own set formats. For now, consider Adobe Acrobat your friend. You can, for free, convert several eBooks.
Make Money – Keep them Curious
The most popular subject of eBooks is the “Make Money” element. Make money online … start a new profitable career … work from home while doubling profits. Some are clichéd, so be careful of writing an eBook on a bloated market. For instance, “Work from Home Riches” may appeal to newcomers to business, but most have seen it … done it … and read it before. Be original by making them curious. If you can keep the reader going with you, compelling copy with secrets, you gain an advantage. You want this eBook to not only sell well, but be a success … because then second and third books can come about.
Save Time – Keep them Reading
Let’s boil this all down to the simplest terms. You always write with your reader in mind for business eBooks. If you write only for yourself, you may only please yourself. The old tagline in writing is to “write for yourself,” but that works for artists. Write the eBook with a specific buyer in mind. You write clear copy. With your first draft, have coworkers look it over. It may take time to polish. But once you finish, the sky is the limit in terms of profit.
