Do not expect to get rich. Writing takes a long time to get a good quality article published. It will take some effort to get your name out there, which will open your opportunities up for bigger paying jobs. Realistically, it could take a year to be able to make a decent income, one that you could live off of. It will all depend on how well you write, as well as how much time you put into it.

Find a website to write that interests you. Some websites are looking for product reviews, while some may be looking for general information about certain topics. Pick something to start with that is easy for you so that you do not have to do a lot of research. It is much easier to find something to write about that you have a lot of knowledge in, because the words will usually flow right out of your mouth.
Do not be discouraged if you do not make a lot of money at first. You may only bring in pennies the first couple of months, but the next few months you might bring in dollars. The thing with writing online is to be successful, you have to have dedication. Keep at it and you will then see the results. If you are unhappy with one website’s results, try another. There are a ton of websites in which you can make money off of.
Sign up at different writing websites and stay active in their message boards and forums. This is the best way to find out about other websites that will pay you and that you may be interested in. There are literally new companies starting all the time, and you just might find one that you will absolutely love. Create goals for you to complete, and stay on track to becoming successful at making money online by writing.
